The Connection Between Buttock Augmentation And Tummy Tuck Surgery:

U.S. News reported the tragic story of three women who had a kidney failure as a result of buttock enhancing injections last week.

From what I read these women seemed to have been thoroughly misinformed about their cosmetic surgery procedure and did not do their research properly. As a result they got treatment from a surgeon who did not have plastic surgery certification and was practicing at an unlicensed facility.

A recipe for disaster in my opinion, but one (thankfully) from which the women are recovering.

One of the best methods to go about a buttock augmentation surgery is via fat grafting or through injectable fillers that use the inherent fat from the patient’s body. Experienced and top plastic surgeons usually use the fat from the patient’s abdominal area if he or she has deposits in sufficient adequacy.

After harvesting fat in this manner, the cosmetic surgeon can reinstate the elasticity of the tummy area that has been recently trimmed off the excess fat. The patient thus has the additional choice of a tummy tuck surgery along with a buttock enhancement surgery.

Your plastic surgeon will discuss your abdominoplasty option during the initial consultation process. Only once he finds the required amount of fat, the procedure can be considered.
